Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Ok, so this isn't really about bedknobs or broomsticks. I just liked the title. And it's a good movie. Needless to say, there have been a lot of changes in the Price family over the last few days. As we're sitting here with Sarah's parents watching "Walk the Line" and Joe's polishing off a bottle from his grandma, it's a good time to take in everything that's gone on.

First off, I think Sarah writes a more interesting blog. She's better at it.

Second, we now know what it's like to have a sick infant. Last week Joe started coughing and sneezing. So we took him to the doctor (we got to find out what stuff costs when your insurance isn't taken in certain areas...that was fun) and he had some redness in one of his ears. So they put him on an anti-biotic. He seemed better over the next few days, but then a couple of days ago he started pulling on both his ears. Not good. So I took him to the doctor again today. Neither of the ears were red, but there was fluid in one, so they gave us drops to put in his ears. It's hard to put drops in itty bitty baby ear holes. Especially when he's flailing around. But now he's full and pretty much out of it, so it's easier. So that's Joe.

Sarah started her fieldwork this week. It's a long, early drive to Lexington (about an hour, and she has to be in around 7). Her first three days consisted of Orientation-type stuff. Videos, tours, that type of stuff. She's excited about her fieldwork. She likes her supervisor, Tina. The next three months are going to be full of learning and experience. She gets home around 4:30 every day, so it's nice that she's home the whole evening. She'll have to work a few weekends and holidays, so that stinks. But it'll be worth it.

I don't have a job yet, but I actually have an interview tomorrow. It's very exciting. I'm not sure whether or not it'll turn into a job, but we just keep praying. If God wants us to be at this church, then we'll be there. If not, then he'll lead us somewhere else. But we'll definitely keep you posted about that.

I think that's it. Leave a comment. It'd mean a lot to us!

  1. I like your blog. But my question is: what are you going to do when it's more than just the three of you? Will you re-name the blog?
