Sarah's Fieldwork

I am two weeks into my fieldwork and I really am enjoying it. I get up very early (4:45am) to get ready and get to work on time. Most days go by pretty fast because we keep very busy! We see clients all morning. I have had a few sessions with clients that I have been able to do myself with my CI observing or with another client in the same room. I have Monday off because I am working this coming Saturday.... but this week I will be working with clients in the mornings on my own.
Monday morning Joe has his 4 month appointment (even though he will be 4 and a half months old on Tuesday). He has to get shots so I am glad I am off to go and help keep him calm. He is getting so big and has such a sweet personality...every day he does something new and exciting... he is so close to sitting up on his own now and he has gotten very good at turning from his belly to his back and from his back to his belly. I've posted a new picture of him with his pretty blue eyes!

Food for Thought with Joe

So my good friend Heather asked my dad when I was finally going to be allowed to write a blog. I think he thought I wouldn't be able to type one up, but I'm real tech savvy. I was born in the technology generation! I mean, I'm almost sitting up on my own for Pete's sake! So anyway, he asked me if I thought I could write a blog. So I humored him and said "Maybe!" and here it is.

Periodically, I'll be updating everyone on my new food exploits. Get it? Food for thought? Because it's about food. Play on words are fun.

So for the first 4 months of my life, I've been on the bottle, with rice cereal added in about a month ago. That was nice, but let me tell you about the smorgasbord that was introduced to me the last couple of days! Yesterday when I was at Mapi and Papi's, they gave me pureed bananas! And those were good. When they added them to my rice cereal, it was very tasty. I can't believe they've been keeping this stuff from me!

Then today, they gave me peaches. The consistency was a little runny, and they were ok. Not as good as the bananas. Then with lunch, I ate the rest of my peaches and another amazing food...peas! Oh man...I loved those. I'm just sad I got too full to finish the packet. Then tonight they brought back the bananas in my cereal. After a long day, I'm really tired. I dozed off while I was eating. Ok, mom is walking my way to take me to bed. I think I'll let her. Until next time, everyone! - Joe
